July 16, 2008: Annual Day Celebration
First Anniversary of Searchfit India

The sunrise of July 16, 2008 was auspicious for Sefians. After waiting for long, they were finally there in the Shanghai Room, PSK
Banquet Hall, to celebrate the successful one-year completion of their company. They reflected their zest with heartily smiles and
resonating laughters. They had been preparing for this Wednesday for the last two months. Miss Charu Lata, the Chief Operating
Officer of the company, arrived to the stage and congratulated Sefians for their efforts to make SearchFit India a success. She also
briefed on how the company traversed the ups and downs to reach the success. She added on how she planned to see the company
grow in the coming days. Mandeep and Vibha anchored for the activities and invited some brilliant performances onto the
stage.
The Play

Directed by Sanket and featuring almost half of the Sefians as actors, a 45-minute play titled "Final Solutions" brought forward the stage skills of Sefians. The director of the play, who also played one of the lead roles, deserves admiration. With his sincere efforts, he successfully turned a group of frivolous individuals into a team of well-coordinating actors. The play portrays the present-day communal riots. With the dedicated attempt of the actors, this play effectively brought forward some bitter realities, touching hearts and jolting souls of the audience.
Comedy Show

It is often said, “Through humor, you can soften some of the worst blows that life delivers”. LaughterFit Show,
managed skillfully by Tarun, proved that its often good to laugh out loud! Vibha and Vrinda, in their prim attire of National
Geography Channel anchors, tickled everyone's funny bones! Then came the amusing duo of Rahul and Santosh. Rahul, portraying a
mistaken male pregnancy case, and Santosh, flaunting his own dull witticism, were a treat to watch. Not to forget the two
super tipplers, Mandeep and Sanket, who made a hypothetical situation of Devdas going to Chandramukhi, followed
by love talks... Truely, with LaughterFit, everyone laughed their lungs out! Vibha and Vrinda were declared the clear cut winners for
the most hilarious performance.
Dance

Dancing with the feet is one thing, but dancing with the heart is another. Perennial Performers epitomized the true dance attitude, and
won everyone's appreciation! In their classy red and black costumes, Perennial Performers stepped the stage in panache,
and the barometer rose higher! Neha, Vrinda, and Vibha moved their waists with such elegance that SeFians couldn't stop tapping
their feet and clapping their hands. As the song beats filled up the entire hall, the dancers danced in complete spirits!
Lunch
After these refreshing, stupendous, and beautiful performances, Sefians took a lunch-break as usual, though
this time the food was a little more special. It was a grand treat from the company; special care was taken to decide on the menu. It
had a variety of delicious cuisines. The vegetarians enjoyed the dishes for them, whereas the non-vegetarians cherished the non-veg
cuisines. They absolutely enjoyed it, like a big happy family does on special occasions.
Girls Vs. Boys Challenge

The very exciting Girls Vs. Boys Challenge started with the selection of two representatives, one each from the two teams, who
would come up to take the challenge. Tarun represented the boys team and Vrinda, the girls team. As Tarun came on stage, the girls
put before him a saree, high heel sandals, kajal, eye liner, anklet, lipstick, etc. In the given time limit, he used all the items to dress up.
This was to be followed by matching a few feminine dance steps with girls. Tarun made a remarkable attempt in struggling his way
through the long saree, and putting on some of the make up. He enthusiastically matched the dance steps, though not a very feminine
attempt, but good enough to impress all the girls. Next was Vrinda, all prepared even to do the very difficult push-ups if necessary!
The boy's challenge however, was totally different. They asked the girls to match some intricate moves in coordination with a tongue
twister. Girls couldn't match the speed. So the boys were declared the winners. The bravo attempts of the girls were applauded too!
Worst Singing Competition

Singing in tune may be tough but singing off tune is tougher, especially if one has to compete with some of the “best”
worst singers! To prove the amount of talent required to be a worst singer, Megha and Arpita organized the worst singing
competition - SearchFit Saridon! With inspiration from reality shows, this competition had its own celebrity judges and
three elimination rounds. The celebrity judges included Natasha in the role of the Bollywood actress Rakhi Sawant, Nachiketa as the
famous director Karan Johar, and Sanket as the talented Indi-pop singer Annu Malik. As all the SeFians displayed their talent, judges
gave their reviews in their respective celebrity styles. At the end of the first round, the judges came out with eight talented worst
singers, Charu Lata being one of them. In the next round, however, three SeFian singers proved to be more off tune. The final round
gave us our two winners - first Tarun, and second Mandeep- the extraordinarily amazing off tune singers of SearchFit!
DJ Floor

The zestful Sefians simply rocked the DJ-Floor. There was not a single moment, other than those engaging activities, that they left the
floor alone. Everyone enjoyed the moments in high spirit. How much fun they were having was clear from their ardent gaits and
blushing faces. The foot-stomping numbers, played by the DJ, added more fun to the party. No Sefian rested even for once; their
feet and body shook in the rhythm of the playing music. Certainly, the most catchy moments were those at the evening, the time when
everyone was on the dance floor, displaying his ecstasy.
Prize Distribution

After the competitions and other activities ended, the results of the competitions were declared and prizes were distributed.
